4 Most Dangerous Words in the World

What is the difference between success and failure in the first three years of a home-based  (or any) business? What do we believe is one of the greatest obstacles to success?

As an entrepreneur, when you are starting a business, you are constantly learning and putting into practice  new information, skills, and or techniques.  It is critical that you your mind open during the first few years.

T. Harv Eker, author of Secrets of the Millionaire Mind and creator of Peak Potentials Training, talks about the “4 Most Dangerous Words in the World” at his trainings.

What are they? Well, given the laziness of the human brain and how it really doesn’t want to work, it constantly throws up roadblocks to learning. You will suddenly become sleepy. You will become restless. Your mind will wander. We’ve all been there.

But the most dangerous thing, the biggest roadblock isn’t the physical, it is the sudden recognition that you’ve heard it all before and your brain says those 4 fatal words, “I already know that,” and then it shuts down. It hears nothing further; it reads nothing further. And you miss the most important concept you need to know for your success.

Did you ever ask yourself, “Well if we already know that, why aren’t we doing it?”

Guess what! Your brain knows that if you learn something, you will have to put it to use, and that may require work.

What your brain doesn’t tell you is that if you learn whatever it is the brain doesn’t want to work at learning, that knowledge will probably make every other task easier. Your goals will be easier to attain if you learn it!

Here’s an interesting thing… Some information is timeless. It seems like we ought to know it. It’s information we use but don’t think about, so we forget to apply it in different situations. We “already know that,” so we discard it without thinking.

Several years ago I put out a report called Quick Start Guide To Online Home-Based Profits. I had forgotten about it until someone reminded me of it and said it had helped them start their successful home-based business.

I re-read it.  Guess what! It still applies! And I had put it in my “hip-pocket,” and not used it for a while because I wanted to learn the “latest and greatest.”

Sometimes we just need to go back to basics, especially business basics.

So here it is:  Go now to Judy-Jacobs.com and download the report. You may “already know” some of it,  but you may also decide there is some good information that you may have forgotten there as well.

Quick Start Guide To Online Home-Based Profits

Did you every wonder why some people are incredibly successful earning money from their home-based businesses while others just “lolly-gag” and never seem to really even start their business?

Well, here’s the thing: Most people (fully 80%) have no business plan, therefore they have no idea where they are going, so they have no follow-through.  If you fall into this category (or even if you don’t) read on.

There are Ten basic steps to getting started in ANY business: We’ll address each of them in separate posts.

  1. Decide to succeed in your own home-based business
  2. Decide on a general market- This will involve some market research, and you may have to decide on a specific niche within that market.
  3. Decide on at least one, but no more than 3 mentors.
  4. Decide on a product, service or other business model within that market.
  5. Create your home-based business plan. (More on this later)
  6. Put your structures in place. (More on this later)
  7. Market your Business
  8. Make contacts with other home-based entrepreneurs and mentors
  9. Adjust and re-adjust your business plan
  10. ENJOY!

The first thing you need to do is commit yourself mentally to success if you want to make money at home.  If you don’t know how to do that, change your mindset to a success mindset, you need to meet our friend and mentor, Mark Hendricks.

Despite our previous track record of success, we had somehow lost our direction and focus. (It happens) We had met Mark several times and even signed up for his Internet Success System, which is one of the best values under the sun because you can get the initial course for free. (It cost a bundle when we signed up several years ago.)

But our motivation was still flagging. Then Mark devised The Ultimate Success Program. (I guess we were not alone). We were really surprised at some of the “names” we found were on the calls with us. (Do you suppose most of us feel this way at least some of the time?)

Anyway, even though we paid for it, as of this post, for a limited time, for friends of his students, he’s not charging for the course, so Go Get It!

I hope it does as much for you as it has for us. Remember, it does no good if you don’t use it.

Save and Earn at the Same Time?

Turnkey businesses can serve all kinds of purposes for their owners (entrepreneurs.) They can take all kinds of forms. We like the idea of saving money while we earn. How do we do it?

What we have done at National Capital Solutions is create divisions. One of those is called Turnkey Business Inc. (TBI)

At TBI we operate many small businesses within our larger businesses. We  treat each one as a separate component or department, but they all add up to the “whole” business. Each one serves a different purpose, yet requires very little “hands on,” and virtually no employees– we occasionally outsource. work, but have no “staff.”

And yet,  we still work from home. Here’s how we do it.

We look for businesses whose products we will use personally as well as serve our clients and customers.  Each business started as a way to make “a little extra money.”

For example–Here’s one really interesting concept that we love. If you are really interested in maximizing every dollar, you might look at a couple of really great companies that we found and are participating in.

The first one  is  ZamZuu. (Click on this link to see.) I know, strange name, but pretty much unforgettable. This is your very own online shopping mall website consisting  of over 700 name brand stores plus your very own travel agency. There are online specials and coupons in addition to cash back to every customer who purchases from your mall. And it is ALL automated, truly a Turnkey business.

You can really make money with or without treating it like a “network” marketing company, which it is. The Mall is the thing, and you can advertise by word of mouth. Our friend Josh the painter has been at it 3 years, first spare time, then part-time (still) and makes well over $100K per year.

Visit the site, JacobsMall.com, sign in and take the tour. If you are interested in this as a business, just email us at  ZamZuuJake@gmail.com.

The investment is under $250. If you’re  not interested in this as a business opportunity, you can still do cash-back shopping.

If  the investment for  ZamZuu is a little out of your league right now (we understand… that’s why we’re here trying to help folks) you might want to click on this link to see it. Go ahead, take the tour.

We did, and that was the first money we made on the Net.  The reason it’s easy to make money is that again, it is a “word-of-mouth ” business where your friends and family can go to get money saving coupons for groceries, department and national chain restaurants and fast food outlets.

We more than make back the monthly fee in savings, and if you help others (friends, neighbors and families) save money, you won’t ever have to pay the monthly fee.  This company also has a great fund-raising component for schools, churches and civic organizations.

So go ahead, click on these links: Zamzuu.com and MyWorldPlus.com.

If you have questions, either leave them in the comment area or email us at ZamZuuJake@gmail.com.

Choosing a Home-Based Business: 10 Tips

There are a ton of scammers out there trying to prey on people who want or need to earn money from home. Whether you need to supplement your income with extra money or are looking for a new business, here are some things to remember when choosing a turnkey home-based business:

  1. Almost all businesses will involve some financial investment on your part, whether home-based or brick-and-mortar.
  2. A home-based business can be a very lonely undertaking. It is a good idea to have a mentor available to you either by phone or, preferably, close enough to visit face-to-face when you want or need help.
  3. Beware of ANY business that says you’ll be a millionaire in a couple of months without spending a dime. There are almost no legitimate get rich quick schemes.
  4. Beware of  companies that require you to buy and store a certain amount of product each month. DON’T give them access to your checking account for automatic withdrawal.
  5. It’s a good idea to deal in more than one product or product line. It’s called diversifying in case demand slows for the single product line, you have a back up or Plan B.
  6. Find out if the business requires “spare time,” part-time or full-time effort. Obviously you won’t be able to support yourself from the business for a number of months or years.
  7. Does the business stand on its own with the product sales, or are they more interested in having you have a huge “down-line” rather than finding customers for the product(s). A good company will encourage both.
  8. How much extra money are you going to have to spend in order to get support, customers (lead generation) or products? What are the hidden costs? Will there be events you are expected to attend that will be out of your pocket?
  9. Many legitimate home-based opportunities have monthly costs or royalties associated with them. Those costs should be able to be offset quickly, with only a couple of sales. If not, beware.
  10. Remember, you WILL have some monthly costs, whether it’s a telephone, website hosting, auto-responder, gas, lead generation etc. Set up a cash flow forecast (budget) and see if the expected sales will cover that fairly soon.

Whatever business you choose, always check it out with people outside your “upline.” I will say, though that websites like scam.com are NOT the place to go since there will always be people who complain about their own inability to follow directions. I have seen some very good companies slandered on those sites.

I prefer to Google the company, going deeper than page 1, or I ask Facebook friends. I also get the names of people outside the up-line I’m talking to speak directly to those people who have succeeded in the company to find out how they did it, and what problems they encountered along the way.

Whatever you do, don’t quit your day job until you have replaced that income.

How to Turn Your Old Stuff Into Cash

Here’s a really exciting opportunity we found. We can tell you, it does work!

We had to clean out 88 years of  “stuff” from the old family home, and had no clue what to do with it. (We had 3 yard sales and enough is enough!).

I thought about eBay, but they DO charge a bunch, and the newspaper classifieds are even worse. We don’t have the little penny pincher type classified ad papers in our area.

This is what we found:

Anyway, they are affiliated with SFI (Strong Futures International), a great online marketing business that offers several other opportunities at little to no entry cost, depending on what you choose.

We’ll try to keep “ad posts” to a minimum, but it IS spring cleaning time, and you might as well make some money from your stuff.

You can also turn what you learn on this site into a new turnkey home-based business.

Happy selling and money making!

Turnkey Business Today – 5 Things to Know

Many people find they need to supplement their income during these uncertain times. There are at least 5 things  things a person needs to be aware of before they invest in a business so they can work from home.

The hardest part about “Being Your Own Boss” is getting past the “Employee Mindset.” By that I mean

  • No one is going to tell you what to do
  • No one is going to stand over you and tell you how to do it
  • You are entitled to nothing, even if you do work hard
  • You get to pay your own taxes and insurances
  • You have to understand that failure is not an option–but learn from your mistakes and…
  • Correct and Continue
  • Life is Not Fair
  • Be Persistent

You MUST learn to follow directions if you purchase ANY Turnkey System.

  • Don’t try to re-invent the wheel
  • These programs are the result of the writer’s trial and  error
  • These programs can save you much time, energy and money if you follow them to the letter

Do Your “Due Diligence” before buying or during the “guarantee” time.

  • What kind of support can you expect?
  • What credentials does the seller have?
  • Who else has had verifiable success with this program?
  • Is there a “trial period” when you can return the materials to get at least a portion of your money back?

Is this business suited to your time, interests and abilities?

  • In other words, if you can’t write, don’t order a program on ghostwriting, unless it’s how to hire one.
  • If you can only devote 5 hours a week to a business, don’t order one that requires 20 hours.
  • Most Internet businesses require an interest in marketing
  • If you hate filling out forms, don;t become a survey taker.

Understand that ALL new businesses require some sort of investment.

  • Web Hosting is NOT free in most instances
  • Domain names are NOT free, in most instances
  • The most effective marketing is a combination of free AND paid
  • You may need to outsource certain tasks. People expect to be paid for their services

I hope this has helped you know that, even though we love being self-employed, there are some things for you to think about before you begin your turnkey, home-based business  or work-at-home job. We hope you are successful as you work to supplement your income.
